The Baylor Bears stayed undefeated on the season by taking down the Jacksonville Dolphins. The Bears' record moves to 4-0, while the Dolphins move to 0-4.

Baylor got its best test of the young season so far on Monday as the Jacksonville Dolphins played with defensive intensity all night long. The Bears had the answer though, as they eventually pulled away in the second half. Super sophomore Lacedarius Dunn was the leading scorer in the game with 23 points. Dunn hit one big shot after another on Monday, and finished 7 of 11 from beyond the arc. Baylor senior guard Curtis Jerrells scored 18 on the game with 8 assists. Freshman wing Fred Ellis had the best game of his young Baylor career. In just 10 minutes of action, Ellis dropped in 10 points, recorded one block, and had 2 steals. The only other double digit scorer on Baylor's roster was senior Kevin Rogers with 10 points.

While it took the Bears a long time to finally pull away from the Dolphins on Monday, the most troubling aspect of the game was the free throw shooting. The Bears shot just over 50% in their last game, and produced at a 57% level on Monday. The Bears failed to convert the front end in one and one situations 4 times on the night. Whiel the free throw percentage was not up to par, the Bears did shoot well from the field. Baylor shot an even 50% both from the field and from the 3-point line.

With the win the Bears move to 4-0 on the season, and now head to Anahein to play in the Anaheim 76 Classic. The Bears' 1st round matchup is against Providence on Thursday night.
