Current Baylor Commitment Hearing From Others

With signing day approaching quickly, the level of anticipation is growing. One Baylor Bears commitment recently visited the Baylor campus. Get inside to hear what he had to say about his visit, how strong his commitment is, and whether or not he is hearing from other schools.

Dallas Adamson defensive lineman Kelvin Palmer may be hearing from several different schools, but in the words of Baylor's 6-5 260 pound commitment, "I am committed. I am a Baylor Bear."

Palmer was Baylor's first commitment of the class, and recently caught up with him after his visit to the Baylor campus to get the latest.

"My visit was real nice. I had a chance to get a look at the campus, and I got to see the dorms. That new practice facility is really nice. I had a chance to meet all of the coaches, and I got to spend some time with Coach Briles. He is a real nice guy."

Palmer explains that he got a good feel about college life and what is to be expected by the current Baylor football players he had a chance to meet. One thing that is not yet certain is whether Palmer will redshirt his freshman season.

"Truthfully, I don't really know yet. When I go down this summer, and I start with the weights and everything, then the coaches told me they will make the final decision on whether I should redshirt or not. But if I come down this summer, and I hit the weights and I get up to speed on everything, they said that I could get to play."

The talented defensive tackle explains that he is excited about some of the current commitments on Baylor's list. Palmer provides that he is looking forward to the opportunity to play alongside several future Baylor Bears.

"A couple of guys I know from basketball because I played against them. Tevin [Elliot], the linebacker from Mt. Pleasant, I am looking forward to playing with him. And "Q", Lequince [McCall], also. We were all together during our visit. Tevin came to my room, and we talked for awhile when we first got down there. We were really excited, and he knew more about campus than I did because he had been down there before. He has more of a feel for Baylor than me, and he was telling me some stuff. It just got me really excited also. I really can't wait."

Palmer is fully qualified, and plans on signing with the Baylor Bears come signing day. Stay tuned to for all the latest on Baylor recruiting and athletics.
