Baylor Gets A Big Name To Close Out Class

He stands 6-3 215, and most Texas high school football fans probably know him by name. He recently told BearsIllustrated.com that he has ended his recruitment and will be a Baylor Bear. Come inside to read more.

Ranked the #35 quarterback in the nation, Bryce Petty is definitely glad that he has found a home. Originally committed to Tennessee, Petty has looked around since the coaching change with the Volunteers. Holding offers from Nebraska, Tennessee, Baylor, Arkansas, and Virginia Tech, the 6-foot-3 athlete decided Baylor was the best fit for him.

"I am going to go ahead and sign with Baylor tomorrow," said an excited Petty.

"I had talked with Baylor over the summer, before I got with Tennessee and everything. When I de-committed from Tennessee, they were playing with numbers just like everybody else."

Petty explains that he recently received an offer from Virginia Tech, and he wrestled with a decision for a couple of days.

"There are just so many positives about Baylor. Location, and facilities....they got awesome facilities up there. That new sports complex they just built up there is a real nice set-up. There were just way too many positives."

Petty told BearsIllustrated.com that he will likely greyshirt at Baylor, and enroll in January.
