The Baylor Bears didn't want to hear about any more streaks with the Texas Longhorns, nor did they want to go home one day early. So they did what has become their M.O. over the last few days - stepped up with clutch buckets and fearless free throws to knock off the Texas Longhorns 76-70. With a strong scoring performance by Kevin Rogers and the renewed Henry Dugat, to go along with clutch free throws from Lacedarius Dunn and Curtis Jerrells, the Bears were too much for the Longhorns.
More importantly for Baylor, their NCAA tournament hopes are still alive. The Bears will face off against the Missouri Tigers tonight at 5:00 in Oklahoma City with one thing on their mind - they are only 40 minutes away from a second straight NCAA tournament birth.
