Chapman Keeping Options Open... For Now

At 6'2" 285, Baylor Junior Day attendee Robert Chapman is commanding attention from some of the heavyweights of college football. His versatility as both a center and deep snapper makes him an attractive option to schools looking to fill two slots with one scholarship. Several Texas schools are looking to keep his talent in state, but out of state options are still open.

Robert Chapman may not have official scholarship offers yet, but you can bet they aren't far away with teams showing interest including SMU, Baylor, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Rice, and Alabama. Still, Chapman is showing some favoritism towards the schools showing the most interest.

"I've been up to SMU and I've been up to Baylor and both of those schools are really nice."

That doesn't mean anyone is out of the picture just yet though. As Chapman is planning on attending Junior Day at Rice as well as several camps this summer.

"I'm really going to keep my options open. I like any school right now."

Chapman talked about being impressed by his Junior Day experience with Baylor.

"It was really nice and I really enjoyed it. It was a really nice campus and good facilities."

Chapman expressed particular interest in the coaching staff at Baylor.

"The coaches were cool; I really liked them. That's why Baylor is probably one of my top choices."

Still, Chapman's interest in Baylor is decidedly short of a commitment.

"I'm probably just going to take my time on it. Look at all the schools and see which one best fits me."
