As recruiting continues, more offers can be expected to roll in to exciting prospects like 6'2" Kevin Johnson from Houston. Since our last report, offers have come in from Minnesota and Rice and although the Cy Ridge Junior is keeping his options open, he still gives Baylor an edge.
"I want to keep everything open right now. I do like Baylor. I like Baylor a lot. But other than that I'm open to everybody right now."
Other schools interested in Johnson include A&M, Iowa State, and Oklahoma.
Johnson's enthusiasm is partly brought on brought on by his recent trip to Baylor to attend a Junior Day.
"It was real nice. I was impressed with the campus. They had nice facilities. Its a small town, but it seemed like it had a lot to offer."
The Bears coaching staff has also peaked his interest.
"They seemed like they had a lot of enthusiasm. I liked all of the guys. Especially coach Briles. They seemed excited about me. It just seemed like it would be a fun place with those guys."
For now, Johnson is uncertain when his decision might come.
"I had plans to pick after our spring game. But you never know. That date could be pushed back. It just depends."
