Eddie Johnson, a 6'3" 3 star wide receiver from Midlothian High School gave his commitment to the Baylor Bears Saturday afternoon. He'll join former teammate Bryce Petty in Waco next year.
Johnson had firm offers from Missouri and SMU among other schools, but ultimately decided Baylor was the place for him. In a previous interview with BearsIllustrated.com, Johnson had good things to say about Baylor.
"The coaches there are really cool. I got to go to a practice just the other day and just the way the coaches and players interact was really cool. I asked a lot of questions on how things are down there and I liked it a lot."
He also had the chance to attend Baylor's Junior Day and came away with good feelings about the school. "It was pretty nice. It was good to interact with the coaches and get to see the facilities. The coaches were awesome and the new facilities are fantastic."
Clearly those factors played into the reason Johnson decided to pull the trigger for Baylor.
