Baylor In Mix for Snider

Offensive line prospect Blake Snider is receiving no shortage of attention in his recruitment, but staying close to home may give Baylor the edge for this standout.

Blake Snider has received attention from Oklahoma State, Stanford, Rice, Texas A&M as well as Baylor in recent weeks but without any firm offers he is staying open minded to where he might end up. Still, he says that two schools stand out in his mind.

"Location is a big deal for me. I have family near Oklahoma State and I also live near Baylor. So I like that."

Strong family ties have been key to keeping high school talent in Texas for years, and Baylor's family atmosphere has made it a destination for many of these players.

Snider says he found more to like about Baylor during his recent visit.

"I liked it a lot. I saw some of the new facilities and they're really nice down there. We had two kids from my school that are playing there next year so that's another thing I like about Baylor."

For now though, Snider says he is comfortable waiting to make his decision.

"Its all dependent on the offers and when they come in. I'd like them to come earlier. To tell you the truth whenever God decides its time that'll be the time so I just have to pray about it."
