Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears men's basketball program added some new faces to the green and gold on Wednesday.
Most notable of the signing is superstar Perry Jones. Jones is the #4 overall rated player in the class of 2010, and represents Baylor's highest ever men's basketball recruit.
After Coach Kim Mulkey signed the #1 women's basketball prospect last year in Britney Griner, Coach Scott Drew took his turn this year by getting a top 5 national player.
"Signing a player like Perry (Jones) is a monumental moment for this program," Scott Drew said. "Perry will not only be a great addition to our team, but will also open numerous doors for our program in years to come."
Jones comes out of the powerhouse Duncanville program in North Texas. He is 6'10" and rated as a 5 star recruit by Scout.com. "Most people know what a great player he is, but what excites me so much about Perry are the intangibles," Drew said. "He is a tremendous leader, an honor roll student and, most of all, a great Christian role model."
