3 Star recruit Prince Kent originally signed with the Miami Hurricanes out of High School. When things did not work out, he began prepping at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy after failing to qualify out of Norcross (Ga.) High School. Recently, the 6'2" 200 pound cornerback decided to end his recruitment, and play for the Baylor Bears.
The factors playing into his decision came after his visit to the Waco, Texas campus.
"They have a beautiful campus, and I have the opportunity to see the field early," Kent told BearsIllustrated.com.
Kent explained that most likely he will play cornerback or free safety at Baylor, and explained he developed a good rapport with the Baylor coaching staff.
"I knew that I would be in good hands with the coaches," Kent said.
With the addition of Kent, Baylor has added instant credibility to a defensive secondary lacking the depth it needed in an injury plagued season. Not only does the talented athlete believe he can see the field early at Baylor, but he also realizes that the next 4 years better be spent at a place that he feels comfortable.
"I felt that it [Baylor University] could be home for the next 4 years," Kent explained.
