Bringing Corner Back

Baylor recruiting coordinator Kim McCloud has been reeling in some serious defensive talent this off season. With signing day close enough to taste the ink, another three star defensive back is hook, line, and sinker for the Bears. Get the inside on this Baylor commit, only at

In the ages beyond recollection, namely 2009, Tyler Stephenson verbally committed to the Baylor Bears. Since then, rumors have been flying around as to whether or not he's been fishing in anyone else's pond for offers. Well, Stephenson told that he will be signing with the Bears come next week.

"I've been solid on Baylor for a while now. My last official visit was to Baylor, but before that I looked at Arizona and Oregon and also went to one of the TCU games."

Even with the realization that the he needs some serious physique alteration, Stephenson was excited at the opportunity to compete.

"In the offseason, they want me to put on at least 20 to 25 pounds. He [coach McCloud] told me I have a good chance of playing next year and that all I have to do is go out there and compete; he was like, the best person will play so, I feel like I can do that."

Confident feelings aside, only time will tell if the three star athlete will play. However, if past accomplishments have any bearing on future performance, he may do just fine for the Bears.

"This past season I had five interceptions, three blocked field goals, and somewhere around sixty five tackles."
