Personal Time with Finner

BearsIllustrated.com sat down with Jaylon Finner and found out what he thinks about a possible future at BU. Read on to find out more.

With 71 tackles last season, Elkins High's Jaylon Finner would be a solid addition to any defense. Luckily enough for Baylor University, the three star strong safety is seriously considering wearing the green and gold for his college years. BearsIllustrated.com talked to him about his feelings for Baylor as well as his Junior Day visit.

"I really enjoyed visiting Baylor. It's a solid campus and I'm definitely interested."

When asked for specifics about the Junior Day in Waco, one particular memory came to mind.

"I was talking to coach McCloud, and basically all the coaches and they took us to the student center as part of the tour. They have a rock climbing wall in there and they were messing with me a lot about climbing it, but I wasn't down for that right then."

Finner said he also enjoyed the rest of the campus as well as Baylor's athletic facilities. When asked if he needed to work on anything in order to reach his Division 1 dreams, he had this to say;

"Lately we've been working on 7 on 7 and I tend to undercut routes a lot. Sometimes I misjudge the ball and then the receivers catch it; my coaches have told me it's my only real weakness. I just try to thank the coaches and work on whatever they tell me."
