The #24 Baylor Bears (21-6, 8-5) visited the Oklahoma Sooners in a Big 12 South showdown in the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma today.

The Oklahoma Sooners (13-14, 4-9)have won 14 consecutive games against Baylor in Norman. But today was a different story. Even though the Bears struggled with many of the intangible categories, Baylor came away with the 70-63 victory to snap a long losing streak in Norman

The big key in the game was Baylor's defense, holding Oklahoma to 35 percent overall, and only 12 percent from the 3 point line. Baylor trailed in rebounds, assists, steals, turnovers, and fouls, but led in the one category that matters - score. With 21 points from Lacedarius Dunn and 20 points from Ekpe Udoh, they were simply too much to handle for the undermanned Oklahoma squad.

Playing without struggling star Willie Warren, Oklahoma got a solid 23 point performance from freshman Tiny Gallon. But it just wasn't enough as only one other player got to double digits - Ryan Wright with 14. Stud freshman Tommy Mason-Griffin was 3 for 18 from the floor for only 8 points as the Baylor defense refused to give him an easy look.

With the win, Baylor continues to look ahead to a game at Lubbock against Texas Tech, where they will hope they can continue to improve their seeding in the Big 12 and NCAA tournament.
