How Sweet It Is: Baylor Headed To Sweet 16

The #3 seed Baylor Bears are headed to the Sweet 16 for the first time in the program's history. The Bears beat Old Dominion on Saturday, 76-68.

Baylor guards LaceDarius Dunn and Tweety Carter are Louisiana natives, and both of them put on a show in their home state as #3 seed Baylor defeated #11 seed Old Dominion, 78-68. With the victory, the Bears are headed to the Sweet 16.

Dunn scored a game high 26 points on the day on 9-16 from the field. Dunn also contributed with 6 rebounds. Carter, Baylor's point guard, dropped in 12 points and recorded 8 assists. Carter committed zero turnovers in 37 minutes of play.

Perhaps the most important player on the floor for Baylor on Saturday was senior center Josh Lomers. In 24 minutes of play, Lomers scored 14 points, hauled in 8 rebounds, recorded 3 blocks, and had 4 steals.

The Baylor Bears will head back to the State of Texas to play their Sweet 16 game against St. Mary's in Houston, Texas on Friday.
