Vista HS OL Alex Kelley (Vista, CA) currently holds five offers and already knows of two schools that will receive official visits. The Broncos nabbed a commitment from WR Troy Ware in the 2010 class and they're back at Vista looking for more in the 2011 class. When will Kelley visit The Blue? "I'll be at Boise State on September 25th," he said. "The week before that I'll be at Minnesota," he added. Alex has been offered by Boise State, Minnesota, Colorado, New Mexico State, and San Jose State.

The talented O-lineman wants to see how each program operates as he looks to find the school that's the best fit for him. "I'm looking to see how they run their programs. I want to see if I can fit in there and just find the best place for me," he stated. "I know Boise State has a real good program. I have some friends that live up there and they tell me it's a real nice campus."

Kelley is currently being recruited by Defensive Coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski. "Coach Kwiatkowski is recruiting me," he said. "He just talks about what a great place Boise State is and about what I want to do in college. He thinks Boise would be a good fit for me."

Kelley received the offer from Boise State a few months ago and the coaching staff believes he's an excellent fit for their system. "Coach Kwiatkowski offered me a few months ago," he said. "He told me he likes the way I play and that I'd be a perfect fit for the offense."

The Vista Panthers defeated Mira Mesa by a score of 21-14 on Friday night. In 2009, the Panthers finished with a 10-3 record and they're looking to continue that success in 2010. "Our team looks really good right now," he said. "I think we have a pretty good shot at going all the way and winning a CIF championship."

What does Kelley (6'3, 295, 5.5) bring to the field? "I think I have good technique and footwork. I like to go 100% on every play," he said. "I just like knocking my opponents on the ground," he added.
