ESPN Gameday On The Blue

Prior to the Season, the Boise State/Oregon State game was rumored to be one that was looked at for a possible ESPN College Gameday visit, but it wasn't until after the Broncos handled Wyoming that the rumor turned into fact as ESPN announced that the College Gameday Crew would be making their first visit to Boise State and the Blue.. now, what does this mean for Boise State?

It's been a few years in the making, but Boise State will finally be put on the College Football map this Saturday when ESPN's College Gameday is broadcast from the Blue Turf of Bronco Stadium.

College Gameday is hosted live by Chris Fowler and includes input from former Coach Lee Corso, and former players Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. Sideline reporter Erin Andrews also provides interviews and other segments during the first hour.

The Boise State/Oregon State game itself will be broadcast nationally Saturday evening on ABC, marking the first time that a Boise State regular season game has been carried Nationwide one one of the 4 Major Networks. The game will still have a 6pm kickoff time.

The Gameday telecast, which runs from 7-8am (MST) on ESPNU and then from 8-10am (MST) on ESPN, is always broadcast from the campus of the biggest matchup of the weekend, and this weekend that's on the Blue Turf of Bronco Stadium.

#3 Boise State welcomes Top-25 ranked Oregon State to the Blue for their third game in Boise. Boise State holds a 2-0 advantage over the Beavers at home, and a win this weekend would do much to help the Bronco's quest for a spot in the BCS National Championship Game at the end of the season.

The matchup and Gameday visit couldn't come at a better time as Boise State will also be hosting a large group of very highly ranked recruits this weekend, including both committed and uncommitted players.

For more on the matchup, keep checking throughout the week, or visit the Boise State official website or the ESPN College Gameday website.
