Vista HS WR Troy Ware (Vista, CA) signed with Boise State as a member of the 2010 recruiting class and will enroll in January as a grayshirt. The future Bronco has been focusing on getting better and hopes to compete right away once he arrives on campus in just a few months. "Me and my dad run some routes and I've been doing a lot of lifting," he said. "This has been real beneficial for me. I'm just trying to get better and faster," he added.

Who will replace Titus Young and Austin Pettis once the 2011 season rolls around? The WR position is perhaps the biggest question mark for next year's team. There's a lot of talent, but it's certainly unproven at this point. That means playing time is up for grabs and Troy hopes to be in the mix during spring practice. "I just want to be in the mix and have some fun. I'm excited for the opportunity to go up there and play," he stated. "I'm getting anxious to get up there and get the ball a lot. I like watching them and I'm happy with how they've played this year."

Boise State opened the 2010 season with an exciting win over Virginia Tech. That game definitely lived up to the hype and Ware (6'2, 178, 4.55) was impressed with BSU's performance. "I thought it was a great game. They showed poise at the end of the game to execute and do what they needed to do," Ware said. "It looked like a great atmosphere and the uniforms were cool too."

Head Coach Chris Petersen and Assistant Head Coach Brent Pease both check-in periodically to see how Troy is doing. "Coach Pease called me last week. I think it was on Tuesday," he said. "He was just checking in to see how I was doing, how much I weigh, and how the workouts with my dad are going. I spoke to Coach Petersen right after that. They both said they can't wait to get me up there."

In 2009, Troy Ware was the "go to" WR for the Vista Panthers. He racked up 650 yards and 6 TDs on 45 receptions.
