Bronco Men, Women in Action Tonight

Boise State basketball fans will be treated to a doubleheader tonight in Taco Bell Arena. The Bronco men host Louisiana Tech to open WAC play, while the Bronco women host St. Mary's. Action gets underway at 6 p.m.

A doubleheader is on tap for Bronco fans tonight as the men's and women's basketball teams host games in Taco Bell Arena. The Bronco men open their final season in the Western Athletic Conference against Louisiana Tech, while the Lady Broncos host St. Mary's.

While the Bronco men recently stopped a four-game slide, lessons learned from four disappointing losses are still fresh in their minds. Boise State suffered three-point losses to Long Beach State, #19 UNLV and Drake and then fell to Utah in the final minute after being ahead by nine. Coach Leon Rice's team rediscovered its winning ways against Texas-Pan American before Christmas. Boise State is 8-11 all-time against Louisiana Tech, but has won four of the last six meetings. The Broncos also entertain New Mexico State Friday night.

St. Mary's is a good test for Coach Gordy Presnell's Lady Broncos. The Gaels defeated Boise State last year at home and blasted Idaho 85-71 six days ago. Junior guard Jasmine Smith paces the Gaels with 16.6 points a game while 6-4 senior forward Louella Tomlinson averages 13. Boise State will also host College of Idaho Sunday afternoon.

The women get started at 6 tonight with the men's game slated for 8:15.
