Cosumnes Oaks HS DE Robert Ash (Elk Grove, CA) committed to Boise State last summer and just recently received a new offer from a Pac-10 program. Which school offered Ash?

"I got an offer from UCLA last Wednesday," he said. "Coach Neuheisel offered me over the phone. He said he went through a bundle of film and was impressed with my senior season," he added.

The future Bronco is still 100% committed to Boise State and is ready to make it official on Signing Day. Ash and (current commit) Jeff Worthy have already built a strong friendship as they look to continue the Boise State tradition of great D-line play.

"I'm excited," he said in reference to Signing Day. "I wouldn't have believed back during freshman year that I'd be going to Boise State. This whole (recruiting) class is real tight. Me and Jeff (Worthy) are probably going to be roommates. It's great that we'll have the chance to play together at Boise State."

The month prior to Signing Day is one of the most hectic when it comes to recruiting. Coaches from all over the country are looking to "seal the deal" on their recruiting class and "firm up" those commitments that might have become soft. Robert is all-Bronco, but he still got a visit from two of his future coaches on Wednesday afternoon.

"Coach Petersen and Coach Choate were at my house yesterday," he stated. "It was a real laid back and relaxing atmosphere. We talked about housing arrangements, redshirting/not redshirting, and just went over the little details. It's really a blessing to be able to play for Coach Petersen, Coach K, and Coach Choate."

Ash (6'4, 260, 4.8) is already preparing for his arrival on campus. He claims to be working harder than ever and is ready to begin his career on The Blue.

"I've been working so hard it's not even funny. I've been doing a little bit of everything," he said. "I still want to improve my lateral speed and get the motor up. That's my goal," he added.

As a senior, Ash racked up 10 sacks and 76 tackles.
