There will be a lot of memories for each of them, but somehow the ones from your senior year are the ones that stand out the most. They were part of a team that got off to one of the best starts in school history, as the Broncos reeled off eight victories in a row. Five of Boise State's losses this season have been by three points or less. That's usually an indicator of an underrated team that is one season away from having a great year.
Of course, the bright future is one that the Bronco newcomers will shape. The legacy that these seniors leave behind is solely up to them and the leadership that they provide over the next five weeks. It's crunch-time for them, and soon the names we fans have become so familiar with will be playing their final game for Boise State.
Just four home games remain for these seniors. Tomorrow night (Thursday), the Broncos entertain rival Fresno State in Taco Bell Arena. In the balanced Western Athletic Conference, standings can turn upside down from week to week. To illustrate, Boise State was second place just two short weeks ago and now they are fifth. There isn't much separation from #2 to #8. Boise State hosts Idaho Saturday in the second half of a basketball doubleheader that will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The Bronco-Bulldog contest tips off at 7:05 while the Saturday game is set for 9 p.m. Mountain Time.
Come out and see how these seniors write those final chapters of college ball.
