Valor Christian HS LB Andrew Pint (Highlands Ranch, CO) committed to Boise State last Tuesday as he became the twelfth prospect to verbally pledge to the Blue and Orange for the 2012 recruiting class. So, what made Boise State a "great fit" for Andrew Pint?

"It's a great fit," he said. "The coaches are great and there's a good sense of family on the team. They win a lot of games every year, have a great defense, and there's a sense of familiarity since we do a lot of the same things on defense."

"I had been thinking about it for a few days," he stated. "I had some interest in Wake Forest and Iowa, but they wanted to see some senior tape before offering. I knew I wanted to go ahead and commit so I could focus on my senior season."

"I committed to Coach Gregory and then he handed the phone over to Coach Petersen," he said. "They were both real excited, but they had an idea that I was close since we had already talked about it."

"I'm really excited," said Pint. "They're one of the most successful teams over the past few years and they have an excellent coaching staff."

The Boise State staff likes Pint (6'2, 215) at OLB.

"They like that I can change direction well, explosive, things like that," he said. "I've played a little bit of both (OLB/MLB), so I think it'll be a little different, but not too bad. I'll be able to handle it."

The future Bronco has made his college decision and says he can now have a fun year with his "buddies."

"It feels great and now I can just go out there and have a fun year with my buddies," he said. "Workouts are going great and we've got two-a-days coming up, so we're all excited," he added.

"I'm 100% committed to Boise."

The talented LB chose Boise State over offers from UNLV and Northern Colorado. Wake Forest, Colorado, Colorado State, and Iowa all showed some level of interest.
