Loyola HS CB Chaz Anderson (Los Angeles, CA) received a visit from his future Head Coach on Thursday evening as Chris Petersen dropped by for an in-home visit and brought (RBs Coach) Keith Bhonapha along with him. Everything from the new DB Coach to academics was discussed and Anderson says he's eager to find out exactly who the new DB Coach will be.

"Coach Petersen and Coach Bhonapha were here on Thursday," he said. "We had dinner, talked about me enrolling for the summer, when I'll arrive, and how the best players on the team are usually those that do the best in the classroom. They just want to make sure I stay on track."

"They told me the new DB Coach will be someone they're confident in and that he'll help me get to the next level," he stated. "I should be getting a call here pretty soon to find out exactly who it's going to be. Hopefully, it'll be within the next couple days...maybe even later today or tomorrow."

"I'm very excited to find out," said Anderson. "I know Coach Petersen is doing his job. I'm committed because of Coach Petersen."

Versatility...that's exactly what Chaz Anderson brings to Boise State.

"Coach K said he needs a corner that can do anything," he said. "He needs someone that can play nickel, outside, boundary, and someone that can come up and hit. You got to be physical, but big enough to guard the bigger receivers too. He thinks I would be a good fit for that."

"I got the vibe that he's all about business," he said. "Coach K knows when it's ok to play around, but also when it's time to get serious. He realizes that we're here to win games and a National Championship and not to be cool with just a mediocre Bowl Game."

"I'm 100% committed."

Chaz, Bryan Douglas, and Lee Hightower have one goal in mind...to be the best secondary in the nation.

"That's what we plan on doing. We want to be the best secondary in the nation," said Anderson. "Physically we'll be there and we're all talented. We've grown up together and know how to help each other...like pieces to a puzzle."

Anderson will enroll at Boise State for the summer term and take part in the summer bridge program.

"I enroll in classes that Monday," he said. "I think it's like the 25th of June. I'm going to take two classes and then workout the whole summer for four weeks. I think this is something that will give me that upper-hand...an extra edge."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Chaz Anderson.
