Carter HS ATH Courtney Arnick (Dallas, TX) received an offer from Boise State just a little over a week ago and took an official visit to The Blue this past weekend. The talented ATH enjoyed the trip and says Boise State and Kansas are his top two heading into Signing Day.

"What I liked was how they kept me fed," he said with a laugh. "They really fed me a lot. They showed me a good time and the coaches were pretty cool. Everything was pretty good about it."

"Aaron Burks was my host," he stated. "We got along well. He could relate a lot since he's from Texas too. He said it's a good place to go to and we talked about HS ball, college ball, and stuff like that."

"I talked to Coach Petersen," said Arnick. "I spoke to him about the football program. He's a real nice guy. I feel like if I did go there I could kind of bond with him and talk to him about anything."

The coaching staff is recruiting Arnick as a Nickel for the 4-2-5 alignment.

"Boise State likes me at Nickel," he said. "They see me as a Rover Safety...I think that would be perfect," he added.

"I had a little meeting with Coach Gregory," said Arnick. "He showed me some film of their LBs, how they played, and that was good. I liked it a lot. It was good to get some one-on-one time."

Arnick has narrowed his list to two schools...Boise State and Kansas. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Kansas this weekend, but says he could commit anytime between now and Signing Day.

"I'm supposed to go to Kansas this weekend," he said. "I might also take a midweek visit to Memphis, but the two I'm looking at right now are Boise and Kansas."

So, what stands out about Boise State?

"They have an excellent football program. That's always a plus," said Arnick. "I'm big on academics too and they're solid in that area. It would be a different environment and I like to experience new things."

"Oh, I liked the blue field," he said. "I could see myself playing on that anytime or any day."

What does Courtney Arnick (6'1, 195) bring to the gridiron?

"Honestly, I can do it all," he said. "Boise likes that I'm flexible and can play more than one position," he added.
