Madison Senior HS RB Pierre Cormier (San Diego, CA) is one of the top RBs in the West for the 2013 class and currently has Boise State in his top three. He says he wants to play in an offense that features a strong running game and believes Boise State's offense would be a good fit.

"Yeah, I've got a top three right now," he said. "It's UCLA, Boise State, and Arizona," he added.

"They've had the same coaching staff for a long time and have had a lot of success over the years," he said in regards to Boise State. "They have a great offense and a strong running game. I like that."

"Coach Bhonapha is mostly recruiting me, but Coach Kwiatkowski is too," he stated. "They seem really cool, pretty much like the coaches from UCLA and Arizona. I feel that they're smart and that shows with their record."

He says he would like to commit before his senior season, but would also be open to taking official visits if he hasn't found the right fit.

"I would like to commit before my senior season, but I might not be able to visit all of those schools unofficially. Some of them are further away and that would take a lot of money," he said. "What I might do is have a top three going into my senior year. That would allow me to focus on those schools and then take a few visits."

"I'm going to look at the pros and cons of each school," said Cormier. "I want to see the vibe that I get when I visit some of these schools and see if I can envision myself there as a player and student. I want to go somewhere that allows me to have the best opportunity to be a premiere back."

For now, Cormier is focused on preparing for the 2012 season and says a CIF Title should be well within their reach.

"We're losing a big-time QB, but that's all we're missing," he said. "We've got our whole O-line back, D-line is back, and some solid WRs too. I'm expecting a good season."

"I think our talent is great from top to bottom," he said. "We can make a run at CIF this year. Outside of myself, we have plenty of other guys that make our team great. We'll have the ability to go all the way."

So, what does Pierre Cormier (5'10, 180, 4.45) bring to the gridiron?

"Coaches have told me that I'm elusive and they see that as an asset," he said. "Personally, I feel I'm a complete RB, but there's always room for improvement. I'm able to use my athleticism in space, but I also want to become a more physical runner."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Pierre Cormier.
