Loyola HS CB Cameron Walker (Los Angeles, CA) picked up an offer from Boise State last Thursday & the Broncos figure to be a stronger contender for his services. The name of the HS should sound familiar to Bronco fans as it's the same one that produced (current Bronco) Lee Hightower and (future Bronco) Chaz Anderson. So, what are his thoughts on the new offer?

"I got the offer on Thursday after school," he said. "Coach Lake told me to call him so I did and that's when he offered," he added.

"They've been recruiting me, but only moderately up until the offer," he stated. "It started picking up a bit over the last couple weeks and then they finally offered."

"I like how they're a winning program," he said in regards to Boise State. "They're always ranked really high in the nation, put players in the league...I like them a lot."

And it certainly doesn't hurt when you have two close friends constantly in your ear.

"Chaz and Lee being at Boise State could definitely factor into it," said Walker. "Me and Chaz are neighbors. He lives like two minutes from my house. They're both like a big brother to me. They've been in my ear since I got the offer."

Walker went on to say that he hopes to have a list of favorites sometime in August.

"I'll probably get my favorite schools together sometime in August," he said. "Right now, I'm thinking that I want to take my official visits and weigh my options. I don't want to commit to a school, take a visit somewhere else, and like it more."

"Academics are probably tops on the list...just in case football doesn't work out," he said. "Also, relationship with teammates, coaches, campus life, and things like that will be big too."

For now, he's focused on spring football as he and his teammates will hit the practice field next week.

"Spring ball starts next week," said Walker. "I'm trying to fine tune myself as a whole. I'm working in the weight room and looking forward to pushing those younger guys. Just keep going strong."

"I think we can go as far as we want to this season," he said. "We've got a lot of talent. I think CIF champs is possible."

So, what does Cameron Walker (5'11, 175, 4.55) bring to the gridiron?

"I'm a hard worker, disciplined, and well-rounded," he said. "Coaches say that I'm really smart, pride myself on hard work, and make good decisions on and off the field," he added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Cameron Walker.
