Loyola HS CB Chaz Anderson (Los Angeles, CA) signed with Boise State back in February as a member of the 2012 recruiting class and says he's eager to start his college career on The Blue. The talented CB will reunite with (former HS teammate) Lee Hightower and (cousin) Bryan Douglas, but what about Cameron Walker? Could he end up wearing Blue and Orange too?

"I was with him (Walker) when he got the offer," he said. "He was really excited...we were both jumping up and down," he added.

"Me and Cameron are always hanging out," he stated. "Lee and I were recruiting him before he even got the offer. I definitely could see him ending up at Boise State. I know they're high on his list."

"It's going to be great to play with Lee and Bryan," said Anderson. "Bryan and I have never been on the same team before so that makes it all the more exciting. They always brag about how much fun they're having in Boise and how much fun I'm not having. I can't wait to get up there and to just start college. It's going to be fun."

The future Bronco has a workout program called "dungeon fitness," but is it as tough as it sounds?

"Oh yeah," he said with a laugh. "I'm up there just about every day. It's a lot of cross-fit training, a wide range of everything from boxing to lifting, pull-ups, bench, things like that. I've been doing it for about three months."

"I feel I'm getting a lot stronger," he said. "I'm up to about 180 now. I'm working hard so I can play when I get to Boise."

Anderson went on to say that new DBs Coach Jimmy Lake appears to be a big hit with the current players.

"Bryan and Lee think Coach Lake is awesome," said Anderson. "He seems like a great guy, really enthusiastic, and has a passion for the game. The fact that he came straight from the NFL is a plus as well. He knows what it takes to get there and I'm hoping he can show me how to get to the next level. Everyone wants that opportunity."

And he says the fact that Boise State had two first round draft picks is "amazing."

"Two first round picks...that's amazing," he said. "I thought it was great to see that," he added.

"We're moving on up."

Anderson will arrive in Boise in late June and enroll in the summer bridge program. He says he's counting down the days.

"I'm counting down the days," he said. "I'll get there on June 23rd. I'm ready to get to college, get that whole experience, and play on that blue turf. I'm really excited."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Chaz Anderson.
