Columbia HS TE Eric Cotton (Nampa, ID) has seen his stock continue to rise more and more over the past couple months as he currently holds a total of six offers. He picked up an offer from Missouri within the last week, camped at Utah on Monday, and will be in Boise this week for the annual football camp. So, will he add an offer from Boise State to his total?

"I feel that Boise State is definitely an option right now," he said. "The coaches want to see me at camp before offering and I feel that I will earn that offer if I go down there and perform well," he added.

"I usually talk to Coach Avalos and Coach Huff," he stated. "Like Missouri, their staff is laid back, knows what they're talking about, and the approach is similar."

"I plan on going to Boise State for two and a half days of camp," said Cotton. "I'll be going to a one day camp at Washington State right after that."

Cotton was one of the top performers at the Missouri camp as he earned the TE MVP Award following the camp. He also added Missouri to his offer list that now includes Washington State, Harvard, Air Force, Citadel, and Army.

"I was kind of nervous going down there, seeing the competition, and being an SEC school," he said. "It was humid but not too bad. I was expecting to be drenched right when I got off the plane. Overall, I thought it was a nice atmosphere."

"I got TE MVP at the camp," said Cotton. "It was really cool to earn an award like that with all of the great competition there."

The talented TE says he would like to verbally commit to a school within the next month and academics will definitely come first for Cotton.

"The academic side is first over anything," he said. "I want to take a look at the business or law program at each school. I want to major in one of those. I also want to take a look at how they use their TEs, know how often they throw the ball, and the coaching atmosphere is important as well."

So, what does Eric Cotton (6'5, 235, 4.65) bring to the gridiron?

"The Missouri coaches said they like my ability to plant quick, cut, and run precise routes," he said. "I have the ability to jump up, get the ball, and then use my speed to gain yardage," he added.
