Crespi Carmelite HS LB Ray Davison (Encino, CA) currently holds eight offers with one of those being from Boise State. The talented LB has the Broncos high on his list, recently calling them the favorite of all his offers, & says he's looking to take an official visit to The Blue sometime this fall. So, why is Boise State Davison's current favorite?

"I really like the tradition up there," he said. "They get the guys that work hard, not just the five star players, and I like the way they've built their program. They've won a lot of games over the years."

"Coach Prince has been recruiting me," he stated. "He's a good guy...very personable. I can tell that he's not a coach that yells a lot, but more of a teacher."

"They've been recruiting me pretty hard," he said in regards to Boise State. "They want me to take an official up there. I'm thinking that I might take one up there during my BYE week or right after the season."

Davison just picked up an offer from Nevada and recently named Boise State as his leader, but now says he's taking an "even look" at all of the schools currently recruiting him.

"I want to give them all an even look," said Davison. "Nevada just offered me so they're in the mix too now. I've also got Cal, Utah, Oregon State, and Arizona recruiting me as well. I want to give all of them a look since I'm not looking to make a decision during the season unless I have to."

"I think the main thing I'm looking for is that brotherhood atmosphere," he said. "I want it to feel like a family, play against some good competition, and academics are important too. I'm looking to major in accounting."

Davison and his teammates are currently 4-0 on the season following a solid win against Clovis West by a score of 49-7 on Saturday. He says this year's team is not just a CIF contender, but also should contend for state as well.

"I truly think we are a state contender," he said. "What I like about this year is how we're all on the same page. We know we have to prepare well on and off the field. We all understand that."

"I would probably say I'm a lead by example guy," he said. "I'm not into yelling but I will if I need to," he added.

So, what does Ray Davison (6'2, 216) bring to the gridiron?

"Schools like that I'm a playmaker," he said. "I'm going to do my job, find the ball, and make a play. I don't make mental mistakes either. I'm always focused."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Ray Davison.
