Deuce Mataele Makes His Choice

Boise State's surprisingly strong Defense of 2012 has been built on a dominant Defensive Line that was anchored by a very talented group of 4 Defensive Tackles, but with 3 of those Defensive Tackles set to graduate, and the only remaining starter a Senior to be, the Broncos continued success rested largely on the ability to recruit immediate impact DT's from the JC Ranks. Mission Accomplished!

After losing it's entire Defensive Line to the NFL, Boise State's defense was supposed to take a step backwards.. but that didn't happen in large part because of an experienced and talented group of Defensive Tackles who dominated every game.

Now, those Seniors have only 1 more game for the Broncos, and the task of replacing them was huge for the Bronco Coaches.

That task received a huge boost late Wednesday.

Sources close to the recruitment of Tutulepeata Mataele, (Deuce) have confirmed that the Mt. SAC standout Defensive Tackle committed to Boise State and faxed his Letter of Intent to join the Broncos this coming Month.

Mataele was a beast for Mt. SAC this past season, recording 42 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and three forced fumbles, while being voted an All-Conference unanimous selection.

Mataele chose Boise State over several offers, but in the end his decision came down to Arizona State, BYU, and the Broncos.

We'll have more on the latest Bronco commit, so stay tuned.
