Coeur d'Alene HS ATH Chase Blakley (Coeur d'Alene, ID) was in Boise just a little over a week ago for the Junior Day event and says he came away impressed with the program, coaching staff, and the emphasis on academics in the overall program. Blakley is one of the top TE prospects on the Bronco recruiting board and will be back in Boise this summer for the annual football camp.

"They have a great program down there," he said. "It's a real nice campus, they push their athletes to graduate, and they win a lot of games too," he added.

"I had a meeting with Coach Huff," he stated. "You can tell that he can be serious when he wants to, but also jokes around and knows when to have a good time as well. He really cares about his players."

"Coach Huff said he could definitely see me fitting in with their offense," said Blakley. "They use 2-3 TEs on a lot of their plays and it's an important part of the offense. That's real good for me."

He went on to say that the coaching staff asked him to come back this summer and compete in the annual football camp.

"We didn't talk much about offers or anything like that," he said. "I know I'm one of their top guys and someone they could see being a part of the program. They definitely want me to come down for the camp this summer and I plan on doing that."

"I thought Coach Petersen was a great guy too," said Blakley. "He came by our table, said 'hey' to me, and talked to us for a while. He's someone you can talk to about anything. He's a lot like Coach Huff in that he cares about his players."

This was Blakley's first opportunity to see the campus/facilities and he says it "definitely" met his expectations.

"It definitely met my expectations," he said. "I was really excited for this trip since I didn't get to see much of the campus at all last year at camp. I thought it was a really nice campus and an overall great school."
