Borah HS PG Isaiah Wright (Boise, ID) picked up an offer from Boise State nearly two years ago and says this year's team is "having a great season." The talented PG has been in attendance at a number of games this season and says Boise State continues to recruit him heavily.

"They're having a great season," he said. "Coach Leon is building the program and it shows by these young guys doing what they're doing," he added.

"Coach Rice is a great coach," he stated. "He has shown over the past few years that he can do it as a head coach. I love how he teaches the game on both offense and defense."

"I've been to a few games this year," said Wright. "The atmosphere is great when they're able to fill the arena. It would be great to play in that. They didn't have great attendance numbers last year, but they've been able to really fill the arena this year."

Boise State is Wright's only offer right now, but he says he thinks a number of other schools could offer as AAU ball heats up again.

"We just started AAU back up last week," he said. "I'm thinking a few more offers might come if I can continue to play well this season. We've got our first tournament coming up soon."

"For me, it's about the coaches and playing somewhere close to home," said Wright. "That's why it would be great to play at Boise. All of my friends and family could come watch me."

Wright (6'2, 170) and his teammates at Borah won yet another state championship just a month or so ago as they made it back-to-back and will be looking for a three-peat going into next year.

"To lose as many guys as we did and win another state championship says a lot about our hard work," he said. "Personally, I think I did a good job stepping up and to get player of the year was real nice too," he added.
