Boise State Earns At-Large to NCAA Tourney

Boise State was chosen as an at-large for the NCAA Basketball Tournament for the first time. The Broncos drew LaSalle in the first round in Dayton, Ohio.

Boise State will play LaSalle Wednesday night in Dayton, Ohio in the "play-in game" for the right to enter the Field of 64.

The Broncos defeated a #5, a #8 and two #7 of the NCAA's seeds in this year's tournaments, and took two #3 seeds to the final seconds. Boise State (21-9 overall), however, lost in the opening round of the Mountain West Tournament to San Diego State, and handed its fate to a selection committee.

This is Boise State's first trip to the Big Dance in four years and sixth overall.
