Coeur d'Alene HS OL Matt James (Coeur d'Alene, ID) camped at Boise State over the weekend and left with yet another offer as the Broncos became the eighth school to put an offer on the table. The talented O-lineman left Boise and went to Logan where he also competed at Utah State's camp.

"I was there on Saturday for the camp," he said. "They've been recruiting me for a while, but it was really awesome to get that offer," he added.

"Coach Smith and Coach Strausser are recruiting me," he stated. "I really like them a lot. They're personable, easy to get along with, and I had the opportunity to go down there for a game last year. I like the way they coach. It's more about teaching."

"I got the offer on Saturday," said James. "We drove to Logan last night, left a little early, and Coach Petersen asked me to come into his office before we left. He went over what they look for, the OKG, and what the football program is all about. That's when he offered."

James went on to say that he likes the way that Boise State recruits.

"I like their players," he said. "I like the kind of people they are, I've met a couple, and they're all really nice. I really like how they recruit and then build the program with those people."

"I liked the camp," said James. "It was really well-organized, had a great atmosphere, and I really liked working with their coaches. They're not about yelling, but teaching the players. I liked that."

James also picked up an offer from Arizona State just recently and says he considers himself "pretty open" at this point in his recruitment.

"They've been recruiting me for a bit too," he said. "I went down there for a Junior Day last year and got a call from them last week and they offered."

So, what does Matt James (6'5, 275) bring to the gridiron?

"Coaches have told me that they like my footwork," he said. "They think I've got the ability to move," he added.
