Napa HS OL Braden Eggert (Napa, CA) has taken unofficial visits to Boise State and Washington State and says those two schools are currently on top right now. The Broncos are looking to recruit a handful of O-linemen in the 2014 recruiting class and Eggert is one of their top targets.

"Boise State and Washington State are my top two right now," he said. "They're both pretty even," he added.

"I've visited both schools," he stated. "I went up to Boise State for the Junior Day and I liked how the coaches talked about recruiting a certain type of kid for the program. They said that the kids they recruit is why they win games. At Washington State, I really liked that visit too. The coaches are all about turning the program around and they've been talking to me a lot lately as well."

"The way they run their program is what stands out to me about Boise State," said Eggert. "They recruit based on character and that's something I really like."

The talented O-lineman says he plans on taking his official visits, but also says he's simply looking for a good team and a good coaching staff.

"I'm just looking for a good team and a good coaching staff," he said. "I know Boise State and Washington State have both of those, but I'm also going to take my official visits. I want to make sure I find the right fit for me."

Eggert and his teammates went 7-4 a year ago, but they return a lot of talent and expect to do much better this season.

"We're definitely going to improve," said Eggert. "We return a lot of talent from that team. We have our linemen back and a lot of our defense too. We expect to be much stronger this year."

"The younger kids look to me for leadership," he said. "Our coaches always want to us help our teammates and I enjoy doing that. A lot of guys didn't do that at my old school, but I'm glad we do that here."

So, what does Braden Eggert (6'7, 310) bring to the gridiron?

"The coaches like my athletic ability," he said. "They like that I'm fast for my size and have good footwork," he added.
