Pearland HS OL Ryan Griswold (Pearland, TX) became the twelfth verbal commitment for Boise State's 2014 recruiting class last Friday when he chose to end his recruitment and pledge to the Broncos. The talented O-lineman verbally committed to the Broncos following a six day visit to Boise and will now focus on his upcoming senior season.

"We were up there for about six days," he said. "We got there on Saturday and then left that next Friday," he added.

"We met with the coaches on Wednesday and Thursday," he stated. "We talked for a few hours on Wednesday with Coach Avalos, Coach Petersen, and Coach Strausser. It was great since it was like a Junior Day, but it was all for me. We took a golf cart tour around campus."

"I committed to Coach Strausser on Friday," said Griswold. "He was real happy and Coach Petersen was too. They were both real energetic about it. They're excited to get me back up there again."

He went on to say that he got a tour of the new football facility and that the locker rooms looked "professional."

"I got to tour the new facilities, the weight room, and locker room," he said. "That place was huge. The locker room looked like a professional locker room."

"I'm 100% committed."

And the city of Boise?

"The city was great," said Griswold. "I like how it was small enough to where there isn't two hours of traffic, but plenty of things to do to keep yourself busy as well. The people were also really friendly. It was a lot different than Houston."

So, what can Bronco fans expect to see from Ryan Griswold?

"The coaches like how athletic I am," he said. "They think I'll be able to move well at 300 pounds," he added.
