Serra HS QB Jalen Greene (Gardena, CA) verbally committed to Boise State back during the spring and is looking to lead his team to yet another state championship this season. The talented QB has been working hard all off-season with a tough workout program, but what are his thoughts heading into his senior season?

"I'm really excited to get back out there," he said. "Winning and excellence is expected," he added.

"As a senior, I want to show everyone how hard I work," he stated. "I start my workout each day with a two mile run and then do a few drills. I head to the weight room after that. I want to make my teammates better and it starts with working hard in the off-season."

"Coaches are going to be at our games," said Greene. "I know where I'm playing in college, but I want the other guys to have that same opportunity. I want to make them better by playing better myself. I want them to get an offer and play at the next level like I am."

The future Bronco went on to say that he keeps in close contact with the Boise State coaching staff.

"I talk to Coach Petersen and Coach Smith a lot," he said. "I spoke to them about a week ago. We talked about the season, the new football facility, and how they want me to keep working hard. They have high expectations for me."

"They expect to win at Boise State like we do here," said Greene. "I think that was a big reason why I committed. I sat down one-on-one with Coach Petersen and I could see that they really wanted me more than other schools. It was the perfect place for me and it felt a lot like home too."

And the Bronco offense? The coaching staff likes that Greene can pull it down and run if needed.

"They like that I can run," he said. "I think they want to add some more of the spread offense to the system. They like that I'm looking to throw first, but that I can run the ball as well if I need to."

"I'm 100% committed."

Greene says he's looking to possibly graduate early as well and enroll at Boise State in January.

"I'm still looking to graduate early," he said. "I was told I would just have to take a few extra classes. I want to get up there so I can compete. The QB position will be wide open next year. I know they're working hard up there like I am here, but it makes me want to compete that much more."

And the new football facility? He says he's excited to see it.

"I'm going to try to get up there for a game," he said. "The coaches were telling me about the new facility and I'm excited to see it," he added.
