Folsom HS QB Jake Browning (Folsom, CA) is projected to be one of the top QB prospects in the 2015 class and has already picked up four offers heading into his junior season. The talented QB picked up an offer from Boise State following a solid performance at Bronco Camp a couple months ago and says the winning tradition on The Blue is one of Boise State's big selling points.

"Their football program is amazing," he said. "No team has won more games than them over the last decade," he added.

"I was in Boise for the camp," he stated. "I enjoyed it and it was nice to work with their coaches. Coach Petersen is a great coach and Coach Smith is really enthusiastic. I liked working with them."

"I called Coach Petersen after the camp and he offered," said Browning. "I think he likes how I watch film a lot, my accuracy, my personality, and stuff like that."

Browning went on to say that the coaching staff and what system they run on offense will be big in his recruitment.

"For me, it's about the coaches," he said. "Each has their own personality, but it has to be a good fit for me too. It's about how they coach and what system they run."

"Nice facilities and things like that are great, but it's about winning and finding that right fit," said Browning. "Every school now is going to have nice facilities and then they're going to have new ones again in a couple years. That's why I'm looking more at the program and the coaches."

Jake is also a big fan of Head Coach Chris Petersen.

"He's one of the best in college football," he said. "What I also like is how he's a normal guy. You can walk by him and not even recognize him. I like that."

Folsom has one of the top programs in the Sacramento area year-in and year-out, but expectations are high heading into this season as they look to win a CIF Championship.

"I just take it one game at a time," he said. "We're going to have that ranking next to our name, but one loss and we won't have that ranking anymore. Expectations are high, but every team is 0-0 right now."

So, what does Jake Browning (6'2, 185) bring to the gridiron?

"I'm not fast, but I'm mobile in the pocket," he said. "I think coaches like my accuracy and strong arm as well," he added.
