Santa Margarita Catholic HS ATH Jeremy McNichols (Santa Margarita, CA) verbally committed to Boise State this past weekend following an official visit To The Blue as he made the flip from the Utes to the Broncos. The talented ATH says the new Bronco coaches had him as one of their top prospects and now McNichols will play his college football on The Blue.

"The people in Boise were great," he said. "The players felt like family and the coaches were a big reason why I committed," he added.

"Coach Riddle recruited me," he stated. "He has been around a lot of good RBs and is a good teacher. I feel like he'll let you play the way you play on Saturdays. He won't make you play a certain way."

"Playing for Coach Harsin is a great opportunity," said McNichols. "He has a chip on his shoulder and has something to prove to the whole nation. He's bringing a winning attitude to Boise."

He went on to say that he'll play RB at Boise State, but can also catch a few passes out of the backfield as well.

"I'll play RB," he said. "The coaches like how I'm versatile in that I can run the ball, but also line-up in the slot as well. I can play defense too."

And the new coaching staff?

"They showed me more love than Utah did," he said. "I had Coach Riddle here and then he came back with Coach Harsin and Coach Sanford on Thursday. Utah didn't do any of that. They told me I was one of their top guys and showed me a lot of love."

"I'm 100% committed."

So, what does Jeremy McNichols (5'9, 192) bring to the gridiron?

"The coaches like my character off the field," he said. "On the field, they like how I can play a bunch of different positions at a high level," he added.
