Coeur d'Alene HS TE Chase Blakley (Coeur d'Alene, ID) verbally committed to Boise State last week and took his official visit to The Blue over the weekend. The talented TE says the new facilities at Boise State can compete with the Pac-12 and that he's thrilled with his decision to become a Bronco.

"The visit was great," he said. "We took a tour of the campus, the new facilities, and I thought everything compared well with UW," he added.

"Boise's new football facility is right up there with the other big schools," he stated. "The new weight room is great and the locker room is awesome. Everything is first class. To be able to stand in the new facility and see the blue turf is really cool."

"Coach Drinkwitz is awesome," said Blakley. "I love being around him. He's probably one of the funniest coaches on the staff. I'm definitely ready to learn from him and I'm glad he's my coach."

Blakley (6'4, 235) and his family also sat down with Head Coach Bryan Harsin just before he left campus.

"My family and I talked to Coach Harsin," he said. "He's an awesome guy, always there to talk to him, and he's young so he understands his players. I think playing for him will be a great experience as well."

"We watched some clips of how they plan to use me in the offense," said Blakley. "I can't wait to get to work and it looks like I'll be able to come in and compete for playing time."

His brother, Drew Berger, will be one of the top prospects in the State of Idaho for the 2015 class and he also picked up his first offer while on campus at Boise State.

"Drew had a great feel for it," he said. "He thought it was awesome down there. I'm hoping he'll come down there and play with me in Boise."

And Signing Day?

"It's very exciting," he said. "I can't wait to become a Bronco and start competing in the summer," he added.
