Boise State Picks Up Verbal From JC Def-Back

Marnez Ogletree picked up an offer from Boise State three days ago and didn't let any grass grow under his feet after thinking about it, needing just three days to pull the trigger and give his verbal commitment to Coach Harsin and the Broncos. Ogletree, originally from Gwinnet, Georgia looks to join the Broncos in January and compete for playing time immediately with 2 years to play.

A cursory search of internet information gives some details on the newest Boise State commit.

Marnez Ogletree was an outstanding HS recruit, gaining strong interest from a number of then-BCS schools, but his grades kept him from enrolling anywhere. After enrolling at a Junior College for one semester Ogletree saw his future in California, and transferred to Fullerton College where he has played the last 2 seasons (2013-14 with now Bronco fan-favorite Antoine Turner), making him a redshirt Sophomore this season, eligibility-wise with 2 years to play.

In 6 games this season, Ogletree has 20 tackles, 7 pbu's and a pick.

We'll have quotes and more from the newest Bronco, including his thoughts on his commitment and what put Boise State over the top, shortly.
