Raymond Sheard Sees Enough, Goes Blue

Not long after landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International airport, 2015 running back prospect Raymond Sheard had his mind made up. Fresh off an official visit to Boise State, the three-star recruit pulled out his phone and contacted Boise State Director of Recruiting Antwon Murray to announce his verbal commitment to the Broncos.

Head coach Bryan Harsin confirmed the newest addition to the recruiting class with a, "Go Broncos!" tweet moments later.

"I just told Antwon I'm committing to Boise State," Sheard said. "That's the school I want to play for."

From Arlington High School in Arlington, Texas, Raymond Sheard is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound bruiser of a running back with surprising speed. He chose the Broncos over offers from Colorado State, Tulsa, Texas State and Oregon State.

"(Boise State) feels like I'm a good size and I would be great over there, Sheard said Tuesday before his visit. "I'm leaning towards Boise State because they really like me and I like them."

After braving the single-digit temperatures at Albertsons Stadium, and witnessing a Bronco come-from-behind victory over San Diego State, Sheard knew Boise was the place for him.

"The visit was great. I love them all," he said of the Boise State coaching staff. "They've been nothing but real with me in the recruiting process."

Sheard said he does not plan on taking any additional visits and is firmly committed to Boise State.
