Evan Tyler Commits to Boise

On National Junior College Signing Day, Boise State picked up a nice surprise to go along with a fax from Junior College Safety Kam Miles.. a verbal commitment from HS Safety Evan Tyler. Tyler, a 6'2 180lb DB out of Corona California and former San Jose State commit, visited Boise State exactly a month ago and has spent the past few weeks reaching today's decision.

Evan Tyler had been committed to Mountain West cohort San Jose State University since mid-summer, but when the the Broncos offered, back on November 6th, he stated that he had a lot of time to make up his mind. True to his word, Tyler visited Boise State almost exactly a month ago and spent the time since weighing his options and thinking about his choice. Tonight, he reached that decision and called the Boise State coaches to let them know he'd chosen to spend the next 4-5 years playing on the Blue.

Tyler is a one of the West's best Safety prospects who was described by National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins as having, "good size at 6-2, 180 pounds with range, toughness and the ability to play the run or the pass. With his frame, he has plenty of room to add size and strength and should become an even more physical player at the next level."

We'll have more about the newest Bronco to commit to the 2015 recruiting class, including quotes, shortly.

In the meantime..
