Utah Commit Has Interest In Boise State

Despite an early verbal commitment to the University of Utah, Tustin (Calif.) receiver George Wilson is keeping his options open, options that include a possible visit to Boise State before the end of January.

George Wilson, (6'3 190lb Ath), is looking at a few schools besides Utah, and among those schools is Boise State.

The Broncos recently offered Wilson, something that he says has been a long time in the making.

"The interest from Boise State started my junior year," he said. "They came down to see me then. It's great to have them offer at this point in the recruiting process."

Wilson gave a verbal pledge to Utah back in July partially because of the "history behind the program." And it is Boise State's recent success that has him looking forward to visiting The Blue.

"I like the history of Boise State," Wilson said. "They have showed that they can win against the top teams.

"(Boise State) is a big offer for me. Tentatively, I will visit there on January 23. I for sure want to visit them before signing day."

Wilson has recently visited San Jose State and Washington State, both of which have also offered him, and he plans on seeing Utah one more time on Jan. 16.

With additional offers from Massachusetts and Portland State, Wilson plans on making a final decision before Feb. 4, National Signing Day.

"Right now I don't have a set date for a final decision," he said. "I am going to take my visits and go from there."
