Bronco Soccer Team Opens With 2-0 Loss

The Boise State soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback to Samford in their season opener tonight.

The 2015 Boise State soccer team suffered a loss out of the gate, losing their season opener tonight to Samford, 2-0 in Birmingham, Alabama

Kelley Malcanisha took a pass from Jermaine Seoposenwe and booted it home at the 46:23 mark in the second half to go up 1-0. Seventeen minutes later, Seoposenwe assisted Ella Baggett in the second goal of the game.

Boise State coach Jim Thomas's team was outshot 13-8, and the Lady Broncos mounted no scoring threats--all four shots on goal were by the Samford, the defending Southern Conference champions.

Boise State travels to the University of Mississippi for a game with the Rebels Sunday (11 Mountain Time).
