The Boise State football team hosts the University of Washington in the season opener next Friday, and middle linebacker Tanner Vallejo and the Broncos are focused on the Huskies.

The Broncos have not hosted a season opener for six years, meaning none of the current Broncos have had the luxury of opening a season at home. For the last time Boise State hosted a season opener, you have to go back to the 2009 season when Boise State throttled the high-powered attack of the Oregon Ducks, 19-8.
Vallejo and his teammates are glad they're not having to get on a plane and travel across the country as they have every year to start the season. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. in Albertsons Stadium.
