Boise State Broncos Volleyball Team Leads Several Mountain West Conference Categories

The Boise State volleyball team enters conference play next week as one of the league leaders in several categories.

BOISE, Idaho--The Boise State volleyball team enters Mountain West Conference play next week, and the 8-4 Broncos are amongst the league leaders in several statistics.

Coach Shawn Garus' team holds a big lead in hitting percentage (29.2%), assists (13.51 per set) and kills (14.41 per set).  The Broncos are lowest (eighth place) in hitting percentage for its opponents (allowing 20.6%) and blocks (2.04 per set), a point of emphasis for Garus in practice the past few weeks.

Several Broncos are at or near the top individually.  Sophomore Sierra Nobley leads the Mountain West in scoring (5.47 points per set) and has a big lead in kills (4.82 per set).  Senior Sarah Baugh sits atop the conference in assists, setting them up at 11.74 per set.  Kaitlyn Oliver is second in the conference in hitting percentage (40.0%) while Maddy O'Donnell is sixth with 36.0%, while Maddi Osburn is second in digs with 4.49 per set.
