Bronco starting right guard Steven Baggett helped create those running lanes for the first half, before the second team took over. He spoke with the media about what they were able to accomplish against Idaho State, and what they hope to accomplish against Virginia this Friday night.
Interestingly, Boise State's offensive line now is the same as last year, but Baggett and Mario Yakoo have switched positions with Baggett moving in to play Right Guard and Yakoo, the largest Boise State OLineman at 6'4 330lbs, moving to Right Tackle.
The new, 'old' group will be put to the test by a Virginia defensive front that limited Top-10 UCLA to 152 yards rushing when they have averaged 284 yards per game on the ground in their other two games this season.
By comparison, UCLA rushed for nearly 300 yards against BYU, whereas Boise State was only able to muster 64 yards on the ground against the Cougars.
That seems to present a challenge to the Boise State Oline, conceeded Baggett, "It will be a good test for us."
Boise State and Virginia square off in Charlottesville this Friday at 6pm MST.
