Teal Vosburgh will play in the Rivera/Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships this week in California, becoming the first Bronco at the tournament since Lauren Megale in 2010.
"Making All-Americans has been a goal of mine since freshman year," Vosburgh said. "For it to finally be coming true, I'm really excited. I'm excited to represent the team down there."
Vosburgh will open play Saturday in the prequalifying round of 64 at Pepperdine University in Malibu. If she advances, the qualifier and main draw will be in Pacific Palisades. The top eight women's tennis players from the prequalitying round will advance to the qualifier next Tuesday and Wednesday, and the top eight from that action will advance to the main draw.
The main draw of the championships is set for October 8-11, when the eight women from qualifying will join the top 24 collegiate women already selected from their performance this season.
