Sabryn Roberts Becoming a Threat at the Net for the Boise State Broncos Volleyball Team

True freshman Sabryn Roberts has entered the mix of hitting weapons for the Broncos.

These days, Boise State head volleyball coach Shawn Garus is finding more offensive weapons and combinations he can use in his lineup to throw opponents off guard.

Enter true freshman Sabryn Roberts.  Roberts, a 5'9" outside hitter from North High School in Torrance, California, has gradually been seeing more playing time, and she has made the most of it.  In the last home match, Roberts led the Lady Broncos with 13 kills in a 3-0 sweep of San Jose State.

For the season, Roberts now has 138 kills, fourth on the Bronco roster, and 22 blocks, fifth on the team.

Boise State travels to take on Nevada tomorrow night before meeting San Diego State Saturday.

The Broncos' next homestand is a big one and they want Bronco Nation to turn out in full force.  Boise State hosts #21 Colorado State Thursday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in Bronco Gym.  The game will be a "blackout" and free sunglasses will be given to fans who arrive early for the match.  The Broncos then host Wyoming Saturday at 2 p.m., well before the football Broncos host the Cowboys that night.
