Boise State Bronco Volleyball Team Comes From Behind To Beat The Nevada Wolf Pack 3-1

Boise State spotted Nevada the first set, then roared back for a 3-1 victory tonight in Reno.

RENO, Nevada--Boise State lost a hard-fought first set 25-20, then, behind freshman Sabryn Roberts, stormed back for 25-18, 25-16, 25-21 wins to win their fifth straight match.  Boise State had a season high 13 blocks to lead the rally.

The steadily-improving Roberts had 17 kills and 5 blocks to lead Coach Shawn Garus' team, while sophomore Sierra Nobley chipped in with 14 kills.  Dependable senior setter Sarah Baugh racked up 45 assists in quarterbacking the Bronco attack.

Madison Morell had 18 kills to pace the Pack, while Madison Foley had 12. 

With the win, the Lady Broncos assumed sole possession of second place in the Mountain West Conference as Wyoming was shocked by San Jose State 3-2 tonight.  Boise State advanced to 5-2 in Mountain West Conference play and 13-6 overall, while Nevada fell to 2-5 and 7-12 overall.

Boise State travels to San Diego State for a match Saturday afternoon at 2 before heading home.  The Broncos have a big homestand next week, hosting #21 Colorado State Thursday night at 7 and sfourth place Wyoming Saturday afternoon at 2 in Bronco Gym.
